Description
These delightful and robust nail files are made from high quality Bohemian crystal glass. The body of the file is roughened and the quality of the abrasive surface guarantees outstanding filing ability despite its relatively fine texture. Glass nail files are hardened in the last phase of the production to increase mechanical firmness, which gives unlimited lifetime to the abrasive surface. These files are 3mm thickness which makes them extra robust and stable.
Use
Glass files are perfect for treatment and shaping of nails, both natural and artificial. However, if used on artificial nails it is recommended to dip the file in water after use. It is also possible to use the file for removing hard skin around the nail and in the area of the heels on the feet. (The larger pedicure files are recommended for the feet). The best way to do this is to soften the skin first in warm water and removing most of the hardened skin with a recommended tool and then finish off with the glass file.
Hygiene
Glass nail files are extremely hygienic. Unlike other nail files, the glass nail file is not porous and therefore cannot absorb water and create an environment for disease (bacterial or fungal). Glass nail files can be disinfected, boiled or sterilized by any known means or simply washed under hot running water.

When using other types of files, especially metallic or paper, nails tend to split, and even with gentle and regular care they can remain brittle. Regular use of glass nail files will help prevent your nails from splitting.
Firmness
Glass nail files are hardened at the last stage of production and this increases its firmness by up to 74%. This ensures that the file does not crack or break whilst using it. Nether will the file break if dropped onto common floor surfaces (carpet, lino…..etc). However, if the file were to drop onto harder surfaces (ceramic, concrete, stone), it may break.

Maintenance
To keep the file clean, all that is needed is to rinse it under running cold water after use. To clean dirtier files use a soft brush and detergent. To clean very dirty files (nail enamel, creams) any solvents can be used according to basic safety instructions.
